ICPE School of Mission

True and authentic evangelisation comes not from acquiring knowledge or practical skills, but from a heart transformed by the light of the Gospel. From the very beginning, ICPE schools have focused not so much on head knowledge and understanding of the theological aspects but on shaping the character and spirituality of participants.

The ICPE School of Mission is a full-time, five-month course in in-depth faith formation including Biblical study and Church teaching. The programme focuses on the individual’s relationship with God and with the Church, while forming Catholic youth to a radical lifestyle of missionary discipleship! Input is received through daily lectures as well as small groups, one-on-one ministry, teamwork, liturgy and community living. Participants receive a hands-on missionary experience through a month of evangelistic outreach. The course has been described by alumni as “ dynamic and life-changing”.

Since the first ICPE school was held in Malta in 1985, hundreds of people from well over 30 countries have participated. Whether conducted in New Zealand, Malaysia, Germany, Malta, or Poland, the uniqueness of ICPE Schools of Mission lies in their residential and intensive nature. They are a unique opportunity for Catholics who wish to participate in the Church’s missionary mandate to come, see, experience personal transformation, and then experience a community mission trip.
