ICPE Mission New Zealand
The ICPE Mission has been present in New Zealand since 1988 when the first School of Mission was held at St Gerard’s Monastery in Wellington. This later became a Mission Centre, and until recently served as a hub of missionary activity on a local, national, and international level. Today, members of ICPE Mission New Zealand are involved in serving the local Church in various ways, including youth ministry encompassing formation, Sacramental preparation, camps, and retreats. Members also facilitate Alpha programmes and Life in the Spirit seminars in parishes, care for the elderly in a Catholic rest-home, serve food to the homeless at a Soup Kitchen, and hold key pastoral ministry roles within the Archbishop’s Curia.
